How OpenCode Chat works
A chat app for OpenCode agents.
Ask in plain words: fix this bug, clone a repo and run its tests, make a small web page. The agent works on its own computer and replies in the chat when it’s done or needs you.
- It is OpenCode Every agent is an OpenCode server, so you can open the same agent, and its chats, in OpenCode. Fig 2 ↓
- Its own computer Each agent has an isolated computer with its own disk. It stays on after you close the chat, and its files stay for as long as the agent exists. Details ↓
- Message or call it Type, attach files and images, or send a voice message. Or call it and talk it through. Fig 1 ↑

Open it in OpenCode
From the OpenCode desktop, web or mobile app, or the TUI. Turn it on for each agent.
Every agent is an OpenCode server. Choose Connect… on an agent to turn on OpenCode access, then open it from the OpenCode desktop, web or mobile app with a one-time pairing link, or from the TUI. Its chats show up there as sessions.

Get started
- Sign in Use your OpenCode Console account. During the closed beta, your organization needs access: ask for it.
- Create an agent Give it a name. It gets its own computer running OpenCode.
- Message it A bug, a question, a chore. It replies in the chat.
- Computer
- Isolated, with its own disk, and hosted for you, so there’s nothing to install or keep running.
- Secrets
- Your OpenCode keys stay outside it. When it needs a token or password, it asks in the chat, and what you send goes straight to the agent, not into the chat or onto your device.
- Models
- Set a default model for each agent, and switch models in any chat.
- Voice calls
- Calls use your own OpenAI API key.
